Education & Qualifications

Dr Kerr completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Curtin University in Perth before pursuing further medical training. He earned his medical degree from the University of Notre Dame in Sydney, followed by extensive orthopaedic training in New South Wales, where he achieved his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).

He has undertaken advanced fellowship training in:

  • Anterior hip replacement surgery
  • Robotic knee surgery
  • ACL ligament reconstruction with a variety of graft options
  • Joint-preserving techniques for knee arthritis

Under the mentorship of Dr David Wysocki, Dr Antony Liddell, and Dr Jens Buelow, Dr Kerr has developed specialised expertise in minimally invasive and innovative orthopaedic procedures

Professional Experience

Dr Kerr’s experience spans both metropolitan and rural hospitals, equipping him with broad expertise in elective and complex trauma-related orthopaedic care. He is dedicated to integrating the latest surgical technologies with evidence-based, minimally invasive techniques to optimise patient outcomes.

Dr Kerr prioritises a patient-centred approach, combining compassion, clear communication, and individualised treatment plans. He strongly believes in patient education, ensuring that all patients fully understand their treatment options and feel comfortable at every stage of their care.
